What ProvenHabits Is
ProvenHabits is a habit formation and productivity resource for people whose lives don’t pause while they’re trying to improve them.
Everything published here comes from one place: real testing, against a real schedule, with real failure mixed in. Not theory dressed up as advice. Not a 30-day challenge written by someone who’s never needed one.
One rule governs every guide on this site — if I haven’t tried it on myself first, I don’t write about it.
Who’s Behind It
I’m Shaon, a product manager based in Dhaka. My job is building systems that help teams execute reliably. For most of my twenties, I couldn’t do the same thing for my own life.
In late 2020, I made a list of every habit I’d genuinely tried and abandoned in the previous two years. It had nineteen items on it. Not nineteen attempts — nineteen different habits. That list was uncomfortable enough to look at that it finally made me stop collecting new ideas and start asking what was actually going wrong.
What I found changed how I think about all of this — and eventually became ProvenHabits.

What You’ll Find Here
Habit systems
How to build a habit that survives a bad week, not just a good one. Triggers, sizing, recovery after gaps. The mechanics, not the motivation.
Productivity frameworks
Time blocking, deep work, GTD, weekly reviews, the Pomodoro method. Tested against real workdays and real schedules. Honest about where each one breaks down.
Tool and app reviews
Habit trackers, planners, journals, Notion templates. What’s genuinely useful, what’s beautifully designed busywork, and what the difference looks like in practice.
Morning and evening routines
Built around the schedule you actually have. Not the 5am-cold-shower version. The real version.
New guides go up at least once a week. Everything is long, specific, and written for someone who’s already tried the short version.
Who This Is For
You already know what you should be doing. That’s rarely the problem.
The problem is the gap between knowing and doing it consistently — and the fact that the gap keeps reopening no matter how many times you close it.
If that’s where you are, this site is for you.
